About us

Macerata Musei is the museum network of the Municipality of Macerata, established with the aim to coordinate activities, services, and actions with an approach addressed to inclusively enhancing the tangible and intangible heritage that are kept and displayed in its premises.

The Civic Museums network encompasses Palazzo Buonaccorsi (with the Premodern and Modern Art Collections, and the Carriage Museum), the Sferisterio arena, the Lauro Rossi theatre, the Civic Tower, the Municipal Library Mozzi Borgetti (with the Specola dei Mondi d’Oriente), the Helvia Recina archeological site with the Natural History Museum, and the Earth Houses of Villa Ficana Ecomuseum.
